
Yorkshire Day Weekend at the National Coal Mining Museum
Celebrate Yorkshire Day Weekend in grand gala style from Friday 1 to Sunday 3 August 2025 at the National Coal Mining Museum.
Inspired by traditional Miners’ welfare galas, this vibrant three-day family extravaganza is packed with live brass bands, sports skills training, variety performances, storytelling and Yorkshire-themed crafts across the whole site.
Expect live entertainment, interactive experiences, and plenty of Yorkshire charm – with highlights including Professor Jon’s Flea Circus, sports sessions with Wakefield Trinity and Barnsley FC, and the return of the brilliant Barnard and Jones Variety Show.
🎟 Entry is mostly free – just £7.50 per car.
