
York Ghost Week 2025
Ghost Week VI runs from Saturday 25 October to Sunday 2 November 2025, celebrating York’s haunted heritage through ghost hunts, storytelling, installations, and eerie encounters across the city’s historic venues.
Now in its sixth year, the festival has grown from a lockdown distraction into a much-anticipated fixture in York’s cultural calendar.
The week includes free and ticketed events from a range of partners, special ghost drops from the York Ghost Merchants, and a packed schedule of immersive experiences.
At the heart of the programme is The Little York Ghost Hunt (27–30 October, 6–8pm). Hundreds of hand-crafted ghosts will be hidden on the streets around York Minster, waiting to be found and rehomed.
Among the Ragamuffin Ghosts are rare Midas editions, all stamped and numbered. Participation is free, and maps are available from York Ghost Merchants from mid-October.

- Starlight Club Ghost Sale at Bettys (26 Oct–2 Nov) – limited Black Box Edition chocolate ghosts with rare pink tickets
