Illuminated Whitby Abbey returns from Friday 24 October to Saturday 1 November 2025, bringing eerie atmosphere and gothic grandeur to the historic clifftop ruins.
Each evening from 6pm to 9pm, the abbey is transformed with dramatic light displays and Halloween-themed entertainment.
Visitors can follow a trail of illuminations around the site, enjoy spooky performances by Time Will Tell Theatre, and encounter costumed actors roaming the grounds.
Families are invited to toast marshmallows by fire pits, explore the on-site museum, and enjoy food and drink from local vendors. Costumes are encouraged, and advance booking is advised to save 15%.
