Make Yourself at Home is a powerful new exhibition for Bradford 2025, created by New Focus: Bradford Young Curators, a collective of young people aged 18–25 supported by Impressions Gallery’s award-winning programme.
This vibrant portrait of Bradford brings together:
- New photography commissions by five photographers — Laura Mate, Nathan McGill, Karol Wyszynski, Anselm Ebulue, and Tori Ferenc — exploring heritage, identity and belonging, through the lens of Bradfordians and artists from beyond the district.
- The Bradford Family Album, an authentic, community-sourced archive of cherished family photos, gathered from households and community hubs across the district and selected by the Young Curators.
Over 18 months, the Young Curators have taken the lead — commissioning photographers, researching stories, and gathering memories to build an exhibition that captures the real Bradford, past and present.
Make Yourself at Home celebrates the people of Bradford, their resilience and creativity, and what it truly means to make a place your own.
