For over 50 years, Ilkley Literature Festival has been a highlight of Yorkshire’s cultural calendar, bringing together the very best writers of contemporary fiction, non-fiction and poetry with book-loving audiences.
Every autumn, around 14,000 readers and more than 100 writers gather to spark conversations, explore new ideas, and tackle timely topics — all with a famously warm Yorkshire welcome.
The 2025 Festival runs from Friday 3 October to Sunday 19 October, promising another packed programme of author talks, readings, workshops and more. Discover new voices, meet favourite writers and share your love of books in beautiful Ilkley.
