
Yorkshire Halloween Festival 2025
The Yorkshire Halloween Festival takes place from 23 to 31 October 2025 on Parliament Street, York, offering a full week of π spooky, creative fun in the heart of the city during the October half-term.
Hosted by Made in Yorkshire, this free, family-friendly festival features an exciting mix of artisan stalls, hands-on workshops, live demonstrations, and interactive sensory experiences.
Visitors can browse locally made crafts, join a variety of creative activities, and enjoy a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere suitable for all ages.
At the centre of the event is the πͺ Sensory Tipi, offering a programme of Halloween-themed childrenβs workshops that are both pre-bookable and available as drop-ins. Activities include:
- πͺ Halloween biscuit decorating
- π¨ Halloween rocks β stone painting
- πΈοΈ Lollipop spider webs
- π Spiders web suncatchers
- π§΅ Halloween bunting making
- π Bath bomb painting & potion making
Outside the main marquee, a series of pop-up marquees host live craft demonstrations and workshops from Yorkshire artists and makers:
- π¨ Blacksmithing β forge a metal rose, bottle opener or pendant
- πΊ Ceramics β paint or throw Halloween-themed pots
- π§Ά Felt making β create seasonal York-inspired felt pictures
- βοΈ Paper collage β design an autumnal artwork
- πͺ Stained glass β craft a ghost or scrappy bird (ages 13+)
- π¦ Willow weaving β sculpt dragonflies, swallows, bird feeders or mini mice
The Tranquility Tipi also returns this yearβa peaceful, cosy retreat for calming crafts and quiet time πΏ, perfect for relaxing before heading back into the festival buzz.
With exhibitors including Martin Jones, Red Bear Jewellery, The Crusty Pie Company, Feis Crochet, and many more, the street will be lined with Yorkshire-made gifts, treats and handmade wonders π§‘.
All events run daily from 10am to 5pm. Workshop places are limitedβποΈ booking is recommended.
